“LIBRE es una hora de stand-up completamente en español sobre lo que significa dejar el lugar donde naciste y empezar de nuevo.” That is the premise of Libre, González’s October 14 Miami hour.
Born in Isla de la Juventud, Cuba, González studied computer science at Havana’s University of Computer Sciences and performed 20-minute monologues at amateur-artist festivals before starting stand-up in Uruguay in 2019. His move to Miami figures in a LA NACION profile. His material covers compulsory military service, Cuba’s digital isolation, Latin American slang, and cross-cultural communication.
González will perform at Punch Line Houston at 9:45 PM on Friday, November 6.
He has appeared on Chiste Interno Interno, Chiste Interno, and Escuela de Nada. See the venue for pricing.
