The Secret Group is an independent comedy venue and bar at 2101 Polk St in EaDo (East Downtown), and the center of gravity for Houston’s alternative comedy scene. Across its rooms you’ll find touring alt-comedy and podcast acts, local showcases, themed shows, and some of the most consistent open mics in the city — there’s comedy on the calendar most nights of the week.

The venue also hosts non-comedy nights (music, karaoke, dance parties); we filter those out automatically, so the list below is only the comedy. Tickets for most shows are sold through Eventbrite, and plenty of the weekly programming is cheap or free.
