The Riot Comedy Club’s Conroe room runs inside GuadalaHARRY’s at 219 Simonton St in downtown Conroe, about forty miles up I-45 from Houston. It is the second location of The Riot, booked by the same people who run the Washington Ave club, which means Montgomery County gets the same touring comics without the drive into the city.

Shows run Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. The format matches the flagship: tightly curated showcases of touring headliners backed by strong Houston-area openers, rather than one comic stretched over a full evening. Because the room is inside a working Tex-Mex bar and grill, dinner and the show are the same trip rather than two stops.

Worth the drive, or worth staying local?

If you are already north of the Beltway, Conroe is the easy answer, and on a Thursday it is very likely the closest live stand-up to you. If you are inside the loop, the honest comparison is that The Riot’s Washington Ave room books the same caliber of comic seven nights a week, so the drive north only makes sense if Conroe has a specific name you want to see or you are making a night of downtown Conroe.

The reverse is worth saying too: Conroe audiences have spent years driving to Houston for a real comedy club. This room exists so they do not have to, and it books like it means it.
