Recovery, conversion to Islam, dating, and Latino identity come up on The Secret Sex Lives of Muslim Women, where Lopez discusses his life and work.
Born in El Salvador and raised in Calgary, Lopez started comedy there in 2009 before relocating to New York City. His stand-up returns to immigrant parents, Salvadoran and Latino identity, and personal perspective. “Now I’m going to bring my opinions to the game; my perspective. Which is crazy.”
His 2026 Apple TV special, Marito Antonio Lopez: LatinXXX, is available on Apple TV. He has also appeared on The New Wave of Standup, Roast Battle Canada, and CBC’s One More Time.
Lopez performs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28, at Punch Line Houston. See the venue for pricing. Tickets are available through the venue.
