“I try my best to be as genuine as I can be on stage … open and honest,” Daniel Sloss told The Boston Globe in July. His narrative stand-up builds tension around personal and taboo material, then punctures it with punchlines.
Sloss brings BITTER to Houston’s Bayou Music Center on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Venue pricing is available with tickets. He began doing stand-up in 2007 after growing up in Fife, Scotland; his route from an October 2007 set at Edinburgh’s The Stand to a sold-out Fringe season with Teenage Kicks is covered in his background.
His latest special, Daniel Sloss: CAN’T, arrived in December 2025, after 2024’s HUBRiS and 2022’s SOCIO. Netflix’s Daniel Sloss: Live Shows pairs DARK and Jigsaw, covering relationships, grief, family, sex, and taboo subjects.
Sloss has said nothing is off limits in comedy when it is handled with empathy and “at least some inkling of intelligence.”
