“Men are like toasters and women are smartphones” was Sarper Güven’s shorthand on a September 27 episode of UnAuthorized Opinions. He discussed touring, marriage, Turkish and American cultural differences, and the effect of 90 Day Fiancé on his comedy career.
Güven arrives at Punch Line Houston on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 7:30 PM. His official tour listings include Austin, San Antonio, El Paso, Dallas, and club dates across the U.S. and Canada. He began pursuing English-language stand-up in the United States in 2025.
Güven cites Sebastian Maniscalco’s physical stage work as an influence. His sets use gestures, audience responses, and occasional improvisation, with material on marriage, gender, American travel, everyday chaos, and Turkish-American differences. “Turkish and American humor are completely different,” he told New Noise Magazine.
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way and Season 11 of 90 Day Fiancé, both with Shekinah Güven, made him recognizable. He adjusts material to audience reactions and told Metro Silicon Valley that he learned stand-up through trial and error, not comedy classes.
