Motherhood in her 40s is the useful entry point for Ugly Baby, Anjelah Johnson-Reyes’s seventh hour-long special, released globally on YouTube in May. The material runs through fertility, pregnancy, postpartum life, and her “Tia Era.”
Johnson-Reyes moved from San Jose to Los Angeles in 2005 to pursue comedy, with her first open mic at Buzz Cafe, according to her background biography. Then came MADtv’s Tammy/Mỹ Linh and Bon Qui Qui. Her stand-up has long returned to family, marriage, travel, and getting older.
After The Family Reunion tour sold more than 200,000 tickets across more than 100 U.S. theater shows during 2025–26, according to her official site, Johnson-Reyes has also discussed parenthood on The Mom Room.
Anjelah Johnson-Reyes plays Punch Line Houston on Thursday, October 15, 2026. Get Tickets.
