In July 2026, on Arab Is Me, Reem Edan summed up her résumé: “all these credits and still no husband.” The episode covered Iraqi-American identity, dating, parents, social-media work, Arab and Muslim women’s expectations, and her Dry Bar Comedy special Ethnic, Ambiguous & Single.
Edan grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado, then lived in Bahrain after moving there shortly before September 11, 2001. Before comedy, she worked in film marketing and publicity connected with Paramount and Disney. In a New Arab interview, she said open mics and the question of what made her happy led her out of that work.
Her material takes on Iraqi-American and first-generation identity, Muslim upbringing, religion, family, immigrant parents, dating, cross-cultural expectations, and social media. Bits include “I’m Muslim Unless Trump Gets Elected,” “How To Talk Back To Aunties,” and “Chad GPT.”
Edan also does character-driven sketches. Her official biography credits a performance in Arabic on Shahid VIP’s The Stand Up Sketch Show. IMDb lists her as Reem and credits sketch characters in the 2025 series Great Job News!.
